SDG Teach-in Inspires Action on Campus

According to Dr. Edwards, the goal of the op-ed tutorial is to inspire attendees of the event to write about the SDGs in their hometown newspapers. Such personal and intimate discussion concerning the global goals will inspire students to pass on what they learn and advocate for the SDGs in their future careers, and the School of Diplomacy will continue to be a leader in that discussion.

The Greatest Show on Earth: World Watches as UN General Assembly Opens

Some key speakers to watch will be Iran’s Rouhani, fresh off a huge diplomatic win after the Iran nuclear deal; Russia’s Putin, who is making his first appearance in the GA Hall in a decade amid growing concerns about Russia’s presence in Ukraine and Syria; and Cuban President Raul Castro, who will be addressing the UN for the first time.
